Yasmin De Paula

With a compelling presence and a talent for bringing characters to life, Yasmin captivates audiences through powerful performances.

She played Joanne in the Off-Broadway play reading of Screaming For Life, directed by award-winner Zuhairah McGill and earned her degree in Musical Theater at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC in 2025.

Born in São Paulo, Brazil, and raised in South Florida, she pursued her passion for musical theater at AMDA in New York, where she received extensive training in acting, singing, and dance. Her studies encompassed a range of performance techniques, including Shakespearean acting and Michael Chekhov’s method, under the guidance of esteemed industry professionals. Before AMDA, Yasmin trained privately in acting, singing, and dancing, further refining her skills. She earned the opportunity to be a part of AMDA’s Acting SummerFest performance in an adaptation of The House on Mango Street, directed by Ray Virta.

Her dedication to movement and expression led her to study at Broadway Dance Center and Steps On Broadway. She participates in workshops with renowned choreographers like Bo Park, Theresa Stone, Ashley Moore, and Travis Wall. Her dance journey began when she was 7 years old and she eagerly continues to explore the dance world.

From an early age, Yasmin felt touched by the art of storytelling. Beyond theater, she loves traveling, embracing outdoor adventures, cooking and creating short-films on her camera. She remains deeply grateful for the unwavering support of her parents and sisters, as well as her mentors, and her AMDA acting teacher, Jasmine Bracey.
